PILATES REFORMER STUDIO ETIQUETTE

    • Mask is on for all Core Pilates, Flexi Stretch Pilates and Prenatal classes, limited to 5 pax per class.

     

    • Mask is off for all Weight Loss Pilates classes, limited to 4 pax per class.

     

    • You only need to attend the Reformer Introduction once. If this is your second time at the studio, please turn up at the class start time instead of the Reformer Introduction start time.

 

    • All members are advised to arrive 5 minutes before Pilates Reformer class to change and get ready for class. Please do not come too early for class due to tightened Covid regulation. We have a firm no latecomers policy. You will not be able to attend the Pilates class if you are more than 5 minutes late and a class credit will be deducted from your bundle.

 

    • Please leave your shoes at the entrance, we are a shoe-free Pilates studio.

 

    • Please wear socks, preferably socks with grip for all Pilates reformer classes. If you forgot to bring your socks, please purchase a new pair of grip socks for S$6 at our vending machine. You will not be able to join the Pilates reformer class without socks and a class credit will be deducted from your bundle.

 

    • All belongings are kept in an open shelf inside Pilates studio area.

 

    • No texting or phone calls will be allowed during Pilates reformer class. If you absolutely need to be on your mobile, please exit the class quietly and speak softly at the reception area. We do love for you to snap a shot or two for your socials before or after class.

 

    • Back-to-back Pilates classes are not permitted.

 

    • Disinfect all the equipment, including the reformer and all props used after class.

 

    • Remove all springs at the end of your Pilates reformer class, place the footbar all the way up and put the platform on the wooden board. Ring & sticky mats are placed on the platform. Tonning balls are placed on the floor in front of the platform.

 

    • Return all props (foam rollers, squishy purple balls, thick knee pads, cushions) back to their homes at the end of the class.

 

 

CLASS BOOKINGS 

    • You can manage all your class bookings and cancellations online at our Schedule Page. Please log in to book or cancel your classes.

 

    • We are unable to book or cancel classes on behalf of clients.

 

    • If you are waitlisted, please log in and check your own account to see if you have been shifted up to the class list. We will not send any notifications to you if you get shifted up to the class list. Please do not waitlist or cancel your waitlist if you are not sure you will make it to class. PILATES REFORMER CLASS CANCELLATION POLICIES

    • Pilates reformer class cancellation must be made 24-hour before your class starts. For cancellations less than 24 hours before the start of class, a class credit will be deducted from your bundle.

     

    • Due to the limited class size during P3HA, we are unable to waive off any late cancellations regardless of reason(s). 

 

    • You will not be able to attend the Pilates class if you are more than 10 minutes late and a class credit will be deducted from your bundle.

 

    • Back-to-back classes are not allowed unless otherwise stated.

 

    • A pair of clean socks is compulsory for every class. You will not be able to join the class without socks and a class credit will be deducted from your bundle.

 

    • Class bookings can be made and canceled via Pilates Schedule Page. Bookings and cancellations are not accepted via social media, whatsapp, emails or calls. We have a digital front desk. Please download the ALIV Door Access App when you attend classes at Pilates Fitness.

 

    • In the event of a no-show, no socks, arriving late and late cancellation, one Pilates class credit will be deducted from your class bundle.

 

 

PILATES REFORMER WAITLIST POLICIES

    • If you try to book a Pilates Reformer class that is full, you will be automatically added to the waitlist.

 

    • You will automatically get added to the Pilates Reformer class if a spot becomes available. We do not send notifications when you are added to the class list from the waitlist. Please log into your booking account to check if you are booked into the class.

 

    • You can cancel the Pilates Reformer class without penalty if you are added to the class within 2 hours from the start of the class.

 

    • If you are added to the Pilates Reformer class before the start of the Pilates Reformer class, your Pilates Reformer class is confirmed. Your Pilates Reformer class is charged even if you did not attend the class.

 

    • You should only keep yourself on the waitlist if you are definitely sure that you can turn up for the Pilates Reformer class (even at the last minute).

 

    • If you are unsure about your availability, please remove yourself from the waitlist 24 hours before class.

 

    • We advise against waitlisting for multiple Pilates Reformer classes on the same day to prevent yourself from being charged multiple times if all the Pilates Reformer classes become available.

 

PILATES REFORMER CLASS ACCOUNT POLICIES

    • If you would like to change the Pilates Reformer class bundle used for a particular class, you can only change the class bundle used for the classes in the current month. For instance, in August 2020, you can only make changes for class bundles used for classes attended in August 2020. You are unable to change the class bundle used for the classes for all previous months.

 

    • You are not able to transfer your classes to anyone. However, you are able to share your classes with up to 4 other loved ones. Please email us if you would like to share your bundle with your loved ones. Once we updated the sharing function, your loved ones can share all bundles you have. We are unable to dictate or assign specific classes to specific people. Management of classes used among the sharing parties has to be done manually by the purchaser of the class bundle.

 

    • You are able to view your class bundle class credits, class bundle expiry date, classes attended, book or cancel classes via MindbodyOnline booking system. We encourage clients to access the MindbodyOnline booking system via our website instead of the MindbodyOnline App. You can access MindbodyOnline booking system here.

 

 

INSTRUCTOR & SCHEDULE CHANGES AND STUDIO CLOSURE POLICY 

  • Pilates Fitness reserves the right to
    1. change instructors for all classes and private sessions;
    2. change the class schedule, class types, or class timings;
    3. close whether the whole or a part of the Studio for improvement or renovation or have any other reason to temporarily close the Studio and members agree not to claim for any compensation or damages or any other replacement in kind.
  • Pilates Fitness reserves the right to change and amend the Studio Policies from time to time, without prior notice or announcement.

How do I sign up for a Pilates Reformer group class?

1. Register a Mindbody account with us here.

2. Buy class credits online here. You will not be able to book a class or enter the studio if you have no valid class credits.

 

How do I sign up for a private Pilates Reformer class?

1. Please email enquiry@pilatesfitness.com.sg with 3 of your preferred slots (date, time & studio) to arrange for your first private class.

 

How do I sign up for my first Pilates Reformer group class?

1. Register a Mindbody account with us here.

2. Buy class credits online here. You will not be able to book a class or enter the studio if you have no valid class credits.

3. You will be able to book for a class 1 working day from online class credits purchase. Proceed to book your preferred slot on Schedule Page. You can also check our class schedule here.

4. Once you purchased your class credits, you will be given instructions to install door access app. Please follow the instructions to install your door access app before coming to the studio.

 

What should I do in my first Pilates Reformer class?

If this is your first time to our Pilates Reformer studio, please ensure you have completed the following steps before coming to the studio:

1. Register an account for booking your Pilates Reformer classes.

2. Purchase valid class credit.

3. Booked a class on Schedule Page.

4. Installed door access app.

5. Arrive at studio 5 minutes before class to get changed and ready for your Reformer Introduction Class!

 

Which Pilates Reformer classes should I go for?

If this is your first time, please sign up Singapore Pilates reformer classes that have Reformer Introduction. Currently, we offer 3 types of basic Singapore Pilates Reformer classes with Reformer Introductions:

  1. Weight Loss Pilates,
  2. Core & Body aches Pilates, and
  3. Flexi-Stretch Pilates

 

If you want to attend intermediate classes such as Cardio Jumpboard or AbsBurn Pilates class, please attend at least 5 basic Singapore Pilates classes in the last 12 months before you can attend intermediate classes.

If you want to attend advanced classes such as Weight Loss Plus Pilates class, please attend at least 10 basic classes in the last 12 months before you can attend advanced class.

 

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable & fitting workout attire. You won’t go wrong with a fitting t-shirt or tank top matched with slacks or tights! Socks are compulsory at Pilates Fitness – we recommend socks with grip. If you forget to bring your socks, please purchase a pair of anti-grip socks from our vending machine.

 

Is there an age limit?

To join our Pilates reformer group class, you need to be of a minimum 13 years old with a minimum height of 1.4cm.

 

I’ve just given birth, can I join your Pilates reformer group class?

Congratulations! We welcome new mummies to join our class. We recommend you get your doctor’s approval before joining our Pilates class as everyone’s recovery period is different. As a rule of thumb, you can only join our Pilates reformer classes after a minimum of 4 weeks from delivery.

For your first few classes after childbirth, please join the Core & Bodyaches Pilates class and inform the instructor that you had just delivered. We will advise against joining the Weight Loss Pilates class as it involves certain exercises that may affect the recovery of your muscles.

 

How do I buy Pilates Reformer group class credits?

You can buy group Pilates reformer class credits online here. You will not be able to book a Pilates class or enter the studio if you have no valid class credits.

Only our members can purchase the group class bundle. There is a joining fee of $49 to become our member. Alternatively, grab a class bundle immediately after your first class to enjoy waiver of the joining fee.

Non-members can purchase first-time offers or drop-in classes.

 

Can I share my Pilates Reformer group class bundle?

Yes, we encourage our members to share their Pilates class bundle. Each class bundle can be shared among 5 members. Only our members can share the class bundle. There is a joining fee of $49 to become our member. Alternatively, grab a class bundle immediately after your first class to enjoy waiver of joining fee.

 

What is my Pilates Reformer group class bundle validity?

The Pilates group class bundle validity is indicated in your Mindbody App account. The validity starts on the purchase date of the class bundle.

 

Can I extend my Pilates Reformer group class credits?

You can email enquiry@pilatesfitness.com.sg to request for Pilates group class bundle extension before your class bundle expiry date.

If you are requesting class extension for a second time (after initial extension approval) or after class bundle expiry date, you need to top up $50 extension fee to extend your existing class credits for 12 months from your latest expiry date. You can only top up the extension fee before your class’s expiry date. You can only top up extension fee once per bundle.

If you need to request a further extension upon paying $50 extension fee, you need to purchase a new class bundle to reinstate your expired unused class credits. Upon purchase of a new class bundle, all expired unused class credits are extended to the same expiry date as the newly purchased bundle.

If your classes have expired, you need to purchase a new class bundle to reinstate your expired unused class credits. Upon purchase of a new class bundle, all expired unused class credits are extended to the same expiry date as the newly purchased bundle.

 

Can I refund my Pilates Reformer group class bundle?

No, we do not offer any refund upon purchase.

 

Can I transfer my Pilates Reformer group class bundle to someone else?

No, we do not offer any transfer of existing class credits. However, you may share your class bundle with up to 4 other Pilates Fitness members.

How do I book a class after I bought the Pilates Reformer class credits?

2 ways to book your Pilates classes:

1. You can go to our website and sign up for Pilates classes

2. You can go to our facebook page, follow us, on the left hand menu, click on the first tab “Class Schedule”, and sign up for classes

You will not be able to book your Pilates classes through call, text, whatsapp or social media.

 

You have various class types, which one should I go for my first Singapore Pilates class?

  • Weight Loss Class Class – Lose weight, increase fitness, tone up
  • Core & Body Aches Class – Rehabilitation, after medical operation, medical concerns (eg slipped disc, scoliosis etc), after childbirth, general aches and pains, prefer slow-paced classes, elderly attending pilates
  • Flexi-Stretch Class – Tight, tensed muscles, inflexible, stressed, insomnia

 

Do you have any Pilates group class pre-requisites?

  • Basic Pilates reformer classes :

Pre-requisites: 30 minutes Reformer Introduction

Couple Prenatal Pilates Group Class does not need to attend Reformer Introduction.

 

  • Intermediate Pilates reformer classes:

Pre-requisites: 5 basic classes in the last 12 months

 

  • Advanced Pilates reformer class:

Pre-requisites: 10 basic/intermediate classes in the last 12 months

 

When is your Pilates group class schedule out?

The following month’s class schedule is released on the 25th of every month. Should the 25th falls on the weekend or public holiday, the class schedule will be release on the following working day.

 

 

Will the Pilates group class schedule change once released?

Yes, it is possible that the Pilates group class gets canceled – this seldom happens unless the instructor has emergency issues.

You will be notified by email or a call should a class you have booked is canceled and you will not be charged for this class.

 

How do I know if I am out of waitlist?

You will be automatically added to a waitlist if you try to book for a class that is full.

Once a slot becomes available, you will be automatically booked into the class. There will be no notification sent when you are moved to the class list, please log into your own account to check.

Also if I am travelling due to work ( I get posted out 1-2 weeks sometimes), is it possible to get a replacement class?
